1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of HydrologyUniversity.com and all related subdomains, pages, content, courses, guides, newsletters, email communications, forms, and services (collectively, the "Site"), operated by Hydrology University LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing the Site, reading our content, subscribing to our newsletter, submitting any form, clicking an outbound link, or otherwise using the Site in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Site. If you are using the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Educational content is information, not professional advice

Hydrology University is an independent educational and media publication. All articles, courses, guides, explainers, datasets, calculators, reviews, comparisons, and other content represent general educational information and our editorial opinions as of the date of publication, provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes engineering, environmental, scientific, hydrological, geological, legal, financial, health, medical, or other professional advice, and nothing on the Site creates a professional-client relationship of any kind. Water conditions, regulations, products, and prices vary by location and change over time. You should independently verify any information and consult a qualified, licensed professional before making decisions about your water, health, home, or finances. Your reliance on any content is solely at your own risk.

3. No warranties — Site provided "as is"

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, PRODUCTS REFERENCED, AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we expressly disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, that defects will be corrected, or that any information is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or suitable for your purposes. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from us or through the Site, creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.

4. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL HYDROLOGY UNIVERSITY LLC, ITS OWNERS, EDITORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, PARTNERS, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE OR ANY CONTENT, PRODUCT, OR THIRD-PARTY SITE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Without limiting the foregoing, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Site shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100.00). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

5. Third-party links, advertising, and affiliate relationships

The Site contains links to third-party websites, products, services, advertisers, and resources we do not own or control. When you click a link to leave the Site, you do so at your own risk and are subject to that third party's terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, products, services, pricing, security, or practices of any third-party site, and the inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement. We expressly disclaim all liability arising from your interactions or transactions with any third party. 6. FTC compliance and affiliate disclosure

We comply with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). We disclose material connections — including affiliate, advertising, and sponsorship relationships — clearly and conspicuously on pages that contain such links, and outbound affiliate and sponsored links are tagged so they are identifiable. Our editorial opinions are our own and are not determined by any advertiser or affiliate relationship.

7. Newsletter, email, and electronic communications consent

By submitting your email address through any form, popup, or other mechanism on the Site, you expressly consent to receive marketing and promotional emails, newsletters, and other electronic communications from HydrologyUniversity.com, and you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Email frequency varies. You may withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time via the "unsubscribe" link in any email or by contacting us; unsubscribing stops marketing emails but not transactional or administrative messages necessary to respond to your requests.

8. Courses, downloads, promotions, and offers

Any courses, downloadable materials, discount codes, coupons, or promotional offers made available on the Site are provided for convenience, may be subject to additional terms, may be modified or withdrawn at any time, have no cash value unless stated, and (for third-party offers) depend on the relevant retailer honoring them. We do not guarantee that any third party will accept or honor any code or offer. Educational content does not confer any certification, license, accreditation, degree, or professional qualification unless expressly and separately stated in writing.

9. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — text, graphics, logos, images, datasets, course materials, page layout, and the compilation thereof — is owned by or licensed to Hydrology University LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may view and share content for personal, non-commercial use with attribution and a link back. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, scrape, sell, or create derivative works from the Site without our prior written permission. Third-party trademarks, product names, and logos are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and editorial purposes only; their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site for any unlawful purpose; not to interfere with or disrupt the Site or its security; not to scrape, harvest, or use automated means to collect data; not to submit false, misleading, or another person's information; and not to upload anything malicious. We may suspend or terminate access for any violation.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hydrology University LLC and its owners, editors, employees, contractors, affiliates, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Binding arbitration and class-action waiver

Except for small-claims matters and claims for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property, any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms shall be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration administered under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, seated in California. You and we waive any right to a jury trial and agree that claims may be brought only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. If this class-action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) shall be severed and brought in court, while all other claims remain in arbitration. You may opt out of this Section 12 by sending written notice through our contact page within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to Section 12, you agree that any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where prohibited by law. Any claim arising out of or relating to the Site must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues; otherwise, it is permanently barred.

14. Changes to these Terms and to the Site

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting a revised version with an updated "Last updated" date. Changes are effective when posted. Your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We may also change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice.

15. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and the unenforceable provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and supersede any prior agreements. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.
