Before buying, confirm on the individual product listing the exact model, any NSF/ANSI certifications claimed for that model, and its installation needs (under-sink space, water line and drain connections, power outlet). Check replacement filter cost and availability too.

Purewell Water Filtration

Gravity-fed countertop filter systems, portable RO and replacement cartridges from Purewell's own store.

Purewell's range centers on stainless steel countertop gravity systems (K, SS, SF and BO Series) that run without electricity, water pressure or plumbing. Purewell lists its K Series system at 2.25 gallons in 304 stainless steel with a built-in water level window, sized for 3–5 people. It also sells a rechargeable 10-stage portable RO system (model K8680) for camping, RV and emergency use, countertop and under-sink RO systems, and replacement filters.

Gravity systems filter slowly, and Purewell states its K Series carbon filters do not reduce TDS; if dissolved solids are your concern, look at RO instead. Before buying, check the manufacturer-listed certifications and test documents Purewell posts for the exact model, and plan for filter replacement on Purewell’s listed schedule.

DREO countertop reverse osmosis

DREO's countertop reverse osmosis water filters: no plumbing, from the brand's Amazon storefront.

DREO's RO Water Filter line is countertop reverse osmosis that needs no plumbing. DREO lists a 7-in-1 RO composite filter, a real-time TDS display, a filter-life reminder, self-cleaning and autofill pitchers across the range. The 112 and 114 are 3L models with one pitcher, the 113 and 115 are 5L models with two pitchers, and DREO says the 511 (7-layer RO) runs at a 3:1 pure-to-drain ratio.

These are DREO's own specifications, not HU test results, and HU hasn't scored these models. Countertop RO still sends some water to drain, so check the ratio and filter replacement cost and availability for the exact model before buying. K Series Specialty Add-On Filters

Screw-on supplemental filters for Purewell K Series and SS Series gravity systems, sold as a box of two.

Two versions are sold: item K8003 (Purewell’s “5-Stage Reduce Fluoride” add-on) and item K8002 (Purewell’s “3-Stage Alkaline” add-on). Each add-on threads onto the stem below a core filter, and Purewell also lists fit with Travel, Big, Royal, Imperial, Light and Crown Berkey models.

These are add-ons only: Purewell says they must be paired with a compatible core filter and are not meant to be used alone. Purewell also states they do not reduce TDS, are for cold or room-temperature water, and add time to filtering. Before buying, check the manufacturer-listed certifications and test documents for the version you choose. PURE15 applies to a first order; Purewell20 excludes filters.
