Our Review
The WGB32B is the entry point to whole-house filtration that actually works. Its three big-blue cartridges — sediment plus two carbon blocks — knock down rust, chlorine, and taste issues at a fraction of a tank system's cost.
The tradeoff is maintenance: you'll replace cartridges roughly once a year rather than once a decade. For a smaller home or a buyer testing the waters before a bigger investment, it's hard to beat the value.
Pros
- Excellent price for a 3-stage system
- High 15 GPM flow rate
- Cartridges are cheap and easy to swap
Cons
- Cartridges need replacing yearly (more upkeep)
- Lower total capacity than tank systems
The HU Recommendation
A great first step. Track your cartridge change dates — the most common WGB32B complaint is simply running filters past their life, which tanks performance.
